They surprised my friend with a beautiful cake and a candle on top for her birthday, which was a lovely touch.

We can’t rave enough about their afternoon teas, which are some of the best we have ever tried. You can even add bottomless drinks to your order if you feel like it. The food is incredible, with a wide selection of sandwich fingers, hot scones with jam and cream, chocolate brownies, macaroons, and Eton mess, all served with your choice of tea or fresh coffee. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are incredibly welcoming.

If you’re after a touch of sparkle to your afternoon or you are celebrating, enhance your afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco too! The restaurant boasts a magnificent view of Lichfield Cathedral. From the moment we stepped through the door, the staff were lovely. They escorted us to our table, which boasted a stunning view of the Cathedral and Minster pool. The afternoon tea was excellent, with various fresh options and great choices. The prices are reasonable too!

If you’re looking for a cosy spot to enjoy a delicious meal, The Olde Nook on Dam Street is worth a visit. This historic coffee shop dates to 1460 and serves a range of tasty treats that please any palate, from traditional English breakfast to speciality teas and homemade cakes. One of the highlights of our visit was the traditional afternoon tea. Served on a tiered cake stand, it included a choice of sandwiches and homemade cakes and scones. The tea was unlimited, and our massive pot was more than enough to go around. The sandwiches we ordered, a BLT and ham and mustard, were fresh and made to order. And the Bakewell tart and Victoria sponge were delicious – as self-proclaimed cake lovers, we can confidently say they were some of the best we’ve ever had.

We visited The Barn for a baby shower afternoon tea, and it was just lovely. The Barn itself is beautiful, the perfect setting for a special gathering. When booking the staff were lovely and made the process very easy. The afternoon tea was delicious.
