Colourful floral-inspired homeware from Kate Clarke London

I’ve recently discovered the work of London-based designer Kate Clarke.  And as the weather here in the UK is a little bit grey today, I thought her bright colourful designs may go some way to brighten up your afternoon…

Kate has created a unique range of screen-printed homeware products, including mugs, trays, cushions, tea towels, coasters and prints.

She has been a graphic designer for over ten years.  And her passion for product design inspired her to launch this collection of homeware products.

Influenced by 1950s, Japanese and Scandinavian textiles, she initially starts each piece of work by cutting our various paper shapes, which she then uses to design the patterns.

She is inspired by everything around her, especially nature, and is constantly looking for interesting colours and shapes that work well together.

Kate will be attending the trade show Pulse in London in June.  She will be in the Launchpad section, so do pop over to her stand if you’re visiting.

Kate’s strapline is ‘Fresh, bright, happy homeware’ which totally sums up her brand.  I love the contemporary feel which her designs have, with a touch of retro.

I’m sure that her products would brighten any home…
