3. Annie’s Burger Shack

Annie's veggie chicken burger.

Vegan burgers like you haven’t tried before! | Vegetarian, vegan and meat options | Great for a meal with friends

We have tried plenty of vegan burgers in our time, and the burgers at Annie’s Burger Shack are some of the best! Here you can choose any burger on the menu to be completely vegetarian, vegan, or meaty. This is a rare find when it comes to vegan burgers, and it’s impressive that Annie’s has such an extensive menu of meat and dairy-free options. All burgers are cooked to order and served on a toasted classic sesame bun with crisp iceberg lettuce and tomato plus the portions are huge. Try Annie’s with friends this weekend if you love a vegan burger.

4. Crocus Cafe

Crocus Cafe vegan food in Nottingham.

Crocus is a not for profit café | Affordable options | Fantastic for breakfast and lunch

Known as the oldest community café in Nottingham! This café is unique because it is not for profit and run by friendly volunteers, which is why their food is so affordable. It is managed on a day-to-day basis by Real Lives CIC. They pride themselves on being vegetarian and vegan and sourcing ingredients locally and fairly. If you have any dietary requirements, just let them know, and they can accommodate them.

For those who are in need, they offer suspended meals. This concept was introduced in Italy’s coffee shops called Caffè Sospeso, which means “pending coffee.” It allows a paying customer to buy an extra meal or drink for someone in need. This idea has been developed in many cafes across Europe and the world. If you would like to have a suspended meal, you need a voucher. Chat with the café manager, and feel free to approach staff if you have any questions.
