Visit the Mason’s Arms for great Sunday roasts or homemade pub food. It’s a spot for quality food at a reasonable price. We had the Sunday roast (beef) and a steak and Guinness pie. For dessert, we devoured lemon muffin cheesecakes. The food was terrific, and I was impressed with the quality. The wine was also excellent, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. The pub was clean and cosy, with a lovely outdoor area, adding to the overall positive experience.

At The Travellers Rest, they serve a delicious roast dinner every day. The chef carefully selects the most succulent joint of locally sourced meat to roast that day, and you can find details of the day’s roast on the Specials Board. Their roast dinners are served with Yorkshire puddings, roast and boiled potatoes, seasonal greens, and plenty of real meat gravy. We have visited this pub a few times and particularly enjoyed the gammon. They also offer a delicious dessert menu. We have found the staff are always welcoming and provide excellent service. The Travellers Rest is a quintessential English country pub with a warm atmosphere and a great selection of ales.

If you have a big appetite, Toby Carvery is always an excellent option for value for your money. The Trentham Village one is fantastic and always provides excellent service. It’s always clean and rarely has a queue. On offer are tender slices of roasted meat and seasonal veggies. Plus, there is plenty of other pub food on their extensive menu. Our little one loves the loaded mac and cheese! Desserts are plentiful here, too.  It’s a large pub with plenty of outdoor seating, too.

Orange Tree Bar & Grill

If you’re looking for a sophisticated Sunday lunch, check out the Orange Tree Bar & Grill. Their Sunday menu is fantastic. We started with the broccoli and Shropshire blue soup with extra virgin olive oil, salted butter, and warm bread. For the main, we had the roast turkey with pork & apricot stuffing, roasted potatoes, confit carrot, spiced carrot puree, broccoli, honey-roasted parsnips, creamy mashed potato, gravy, and Yorkshire pudding – it – was delicious. The quality of the food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. Additionally, there is a kids’ Sunday lunch menu, making it the perfect spot for a little family celebration. By the way, we highly recommend adding on the honey roast pigs in blankets!
