Wednesday Wants: Fash-pack homeware
Today is the last day of the Autumn Winter 2012 London Fashion Week. Big news stories have been Mulberry’s Del Rey handbag (named after Lana), Anya Hindmarch’s chocolate factory show and the first show of the Alexander McQueen diffusion line McQ. Which all got me to thinking about what happens when the fash-pack do home-ware….
In my rummage through the interweb, I particularly liked these Missoni cushions / pouf in the classic Missoni print:
L-R: Missoni Masuleh Cushion, £140, Missoni Mogle Pouf, £584, Missoni Jarris Cushion, £108
Or how about a bit of classic Americana and cognac leather from Ralph Lauren:
Ralph Lauren Cantwell Decanter, £465, Ralph Lauren Westbrook Dessert Plate, £30, Delevan Leather Trunk in brown, £1,300
I love these dramatic candle holders and trays from Donna Karan Lenox. Crafted in brass and plated in nickel, they’re inspired by coral reefs:
Donna Karan Lenox Oval Tray, £375, Donna Karan Lenox Mini Hurricane lamp, £95
Or, if you can’t afford a Mulberry bag, how about Mulberry for your home? I particularly liked these homely, tartan print accessories (which don’t cost the earth either)
Mulberry Ancient Tartan Lambswool Blanket, £166.50, various Mulberry Doorstops £64 each
Do you have a favourite interior design piece from a fashion-house? Apart from the surprisingly reasonably priced Mulberry, other pieces shown are expensive: do you think they’re worth the extra investment? Tell us what you think here, on the Heart Home magazine blog.
