Website of the Week – Pipii
Summer wouldn’t be summer without a few parties to go to, or the odd wedding or two. Maybe you are organising your own little shindig and you are in need of inspiration. Look no further than Pipii (pronounced pi-pee), a world full of ideas, inspiration and fun products for your party, wedding, birthday, or any special occasion.
Based on the edge of Ashdown Forest, (home of Winnie-the-Pooh) but with its heart and style in the traditions of Scandinavia, Pipii has a creative edge, and is full of ideas and products to make your party twinkle like tea-lights on a table brimming with cupcakes, and surrounded by friends.
Where possible, the products chosen by the team are sustainable, eco-friendly, have a hand-made, retro or vintage feel to them, and are influenced by Scandinavian design.
We can’t wait to have a little party of our own!
Where does the name Pipii come from?
Pipii is the way that birds say hello in Scandinavia, the equivalent of the English tweet. To the Danish founders, the name shares their vision of spreading the word about the way Scandinavians celebrate, party, and create a special occasion out of everyday events. Pipii also reminds us of the free-range, unique childhood of that well-loved Scandinavian character, Pippi Longstocking.
