Pantone for the home – making a statement with colour

Pantone is well known for its system of identifying, matching and communicating colour across many design industries including graphics, digital technology, fashion, home, plastics, architecture, contract interiors, and paint. So, with over 2000 colours it was a natural step to develop Pantone Universe, a collection of lifestyle products designed for the home, the workplace and general and personal use.

Bold, bright colour can be playful. Products like these work well for quite contemporary rooms and are ideal for ‘accent’ colours (as mentioned in last weeks’ post), adding a surprise element and lifting a scheme. They would look great to pep up monochrome or fairly neutral decorating schemes.

As well as a range of table ware products there are scented candles and striking looking fragrance diffusers.

I like these fold out chairs. As well as being practical, they would make a stylish statement in a kitchen or a quirky and fun addition to a student’s room.

The A6 notebooks make a stylish gift as do the A4 sketch books for the budding artist.

These products and more can be found from www.amara.co.uk and www.madeindesign.co.uk.
