Off the Wall – wallpaper for girls
I often find that little girls fall into a desire for pink, even if their own mothers are dyed to the core rock chicks or seen only in edgy designer wear. It’s a phenomenon that knows no bounds apparently. If you’d like to try and eschew this desperate charge there are some great wallpapers out there that don’t necessarily include pink but still have a feminine edge.
I really like this and so did my friend’s daughter (age 6) but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Enchanted by Muraspec makes me feel like I fell through Alice in Wonderlands rabbit hole into a field of bunnies. It comes in various colour ways including a pink version.
The colour way of grey and yellow is sophisticated for a young girls room and the scene has a touch of whimsy with the Eiffel Tower. The Un Dimanche à Paris paper is by the wonderful Famille Summerbelle and printed in the UK.
The Birdhouse wallpaper by Studio Ditte shows remnant and colourful fabrics made up into little tweeting birds and their adorable birdhouses, without being too saccharin sweet. Bound to bring a smile and great to co-ordinate other patterns and fabrics in a girl’s room.
