No Greater Protector than Mother Nature
Believe it or not, these lovely little fellas are all trinket boxes. Designed by New York-based product designer Karl Zahn for Areaware, each Animal Box creature was selected for its reputation for strength and prowess; bull, llama (apparently they make very good sheep guards (source: Twitter)*), whale and polar bear, rhino and walrus – that each animal carries its power into the box to help safeguard your important small items.
Each figurative container is made up of two halves that twist open on their hinge ‘eyes’ to reveal their hiding place ‘innards’, complete with a magnetic closing. With their simplistic clean lines and made out of sustainably-harvested unadorned Beechwood, these charming gentle creatures fulfil both form and function pleasing any design critic with their sculptural grace. Rest assured that wherever they are placed they will sit comfortably whilst keeping their precious cargo secret.
The four that are pictured (bull L20 x H9 x W6cm, llama L11 x H18 x W12.5cm, whale L17 x H8 x W7.5cm and polar bear L17 x H8 x W7.5cm) will all be available to buy shortly from Whippet Grey, at £39 each.
