Light Love – Pendants and Chandeliers

I thought I’d share with you some of my current favourite pendants and chandeliers. This is an ever-evolving list for me, often depending on my mood but also new projects. Pendants can be more versatile than an elaborate chandelier and readily available in a wider range of sizes and shapes. However there is a growing brigade of artisan light companies producing wonderful chandeliers in different finishes, hues and shapes.

One such company is Boatswain Lighting they manufactures elegant porcelain lighting features. Their Spring Butterflies Chandelier made of translucent porcelain is truly beautiful. The glow it produces is warm, inviting and very soft. They also produce a dome shaped pendant (below), which looks great when hung in multiples.

Another lighting company on my list is Tigermoth their lights are handmade, in England to order. A real favourite is the Smoke Crystal Long Chandelier, which I’d love to hang in a hallway (if only my ceilings were high enough).

A long standing favourite (ever since I nearly gave myself concussion on one) is Bocci’s 14 collection with 5 drops. It’s modern, elegant and fits into so many different interiors.  I also really love their 28 Collection by creative director Omer Arbel. Each individual pendant ball results from a complex glass blowing technique creating completely unique spheres and its also available in coloured glass.
