Klaus Haapaniemi paper decorations

Artist Klaus Haapaniemi and designer Mia Wallenius founded a design studio together in January 2010. Inspired by Finnish folklore and traditional decorative arts they have created a collection of textiles, soft furnishings and homewares.

I am a little freaked out by their latest offering of paper decorations but love the idea. Using festive cards as decorations is a great way to send someone you love a gift and a note to say that you are thinking of them. Albeit a spider or bat, these are colourful and beautiful nevertheless.

At £8 and £9 they are pricey cards but inexpensive decorations. Lovely idea Klaus Haapaniemi!
