Floral-inspired tableware by Tea with Bea

In this week’s blog post, I thought I’d share this beautiful floral-inspired tableware from Tea with Bea with you.

Called Cottage Garden, this bone china collection features a unique floral design inspired by English gardens, which is delicately hand-applied with silk screen transfers.

As well as a teapot, milk jug, sugar pot, tea cup and saucer, there is also a mug and a two tier cake stand.

The collection has been exclusively developed within the licensing of Tea with Bea to Roy Kirkham.

After attending Liberty’s Best of British Open Call, the designs are now stocked in Liberty and on their website.

Based in Hereford, the company was established by Stephen and Karen Bourke in 2010. And it’s named after their British bulldog Elsie Bea.

They make pretty, nostalgic tableware which is inspired by Susie Cooper ceramics, Midwinter Pottery and 1950s embroidery.

Stephen studied Ceramics at the Cardiff School of Art and Design UWIC and Karen studied Textile Design at the University of Dundee.

Stephen and Karen say: “We have a real love for functional ceramics. We are passionate about creating great designs that are versatile and work in any environment”.

If you’d like to keep up-to-date with news about Tea from Bea, the company is on Twitter.
