Floral-inspired prints from Renelle Pettitt

Last month I was contacted by London-based textile designer Renelle Pettitt, who has recently graduated from Chelsea College of Art & Design.
Renelle takes most of her inspiration for her digital and hand-printed textiles from nature and flowers.
And this week’s blog post features a selection of her floral-inspired prints.
Below, I’ve started by showing you her more traditional prints and progressed to those with a very contemporary edge.

As for a little background about Renelle…
She has many years of experience in Art, Fashion, Textiles, Interiors and Design.
And has gained knowledge in fashion/art history, pattern cutting, fashion design, visual imagery, mixed media collages, mood boards, soft furnishings, interior styling, fashion styling and photography.
Whilst studying for her degree in Textile Design, she gained experience in various commercial textile and print projects, including projects for Made.com and Première Vision Pluriel Design Fair (Indigo) in Paris.
Now she designs contemporary printed textiles, fabrics, wallpaper and art work using unique imagery and photography for fashion and interiors.
To see more of Renelle’s work, including her digital and screen printed designs for her Spring/Summer 2012 Fabric and Wallpaper collection, simply visit her website.
If you’d like to keep up-to-date with her news, she is on Twitter and Facebook.
