Floral-inspired metal clocks, sculpture and jewellery from Abbott and Ellwood
This week, I have a very special floral-inspired find to share with you…metal clocks, sculpture and jewellery from Abbott and Ellwood.
Cornwall-based Mike Abbott and Kim Ellwood are the people behind the company. They live and work together, by the sea, just outside St Ives in Cornwall, on the north coast in West Penwith.
Mike and Kim’s work comes from the places and things that they like…the beach, coastal walks, a paddle on their boat, a trip to far off lands.
I love the quirkiness and fun element in their unique designs…they really do bring a smile to your face.
Here are their hand-printed figurative sculptures…just so cute!
And they also have a contemporary collection of brooches, with themes including the garden.
Each brooch is hand-printed onto stainless steel and fired in a kiln to create a durable and lasting finish.
They come in a specially printed gift box with a printed rubber stand for display, when they’re not being worn.
Below are some of their flower designs, including tiger lily, bloom, pansy and hellebore.
If you’d like to see more of their creations, Abbott and Ellwood will be attending the following fairs in the UK this month:
- October 25th-28th : Affordable Art Fair, Battersea, London
- October 26th-28th : Made London, London, NW1
