Christmas 60′s style

I don’t buy magazines all that much anymore; but when I find vintage home magazines I have to pounce!

Heres a wonderful look back into Christmas 1964 from Ideal Home magazine and their gift selection for Home Lovers .

I’d love to say “Wow haven’t things changed!” but actually……any of there’s products could sit quite happily in any store now. I don’t think even Ebay could compete on price though! If you can understand the money of way back then; I’m afraid I just don’t really get the old £s shillings and pence thing! But I think its all very cheap compared to today. I probably paid more for the magazine than for most of the products on the following pages!

  5. There are some gorgeous things on there! It does seem funny to see the black & white page too…can you imagine seeing that in Living Etc/Elle Deco these days?
