I completely agree. Oak is such a great natural material that can be manipulated to create a plethora of great things that keep us sheltered and warm. Wooden furniture in general is amazing, especially when its brand new. The smell of it brings one back to nature.
I’ve seen some lovely beds mate out of oak as well as front doors. It makes me think though, would a house interior of total natural wood furnishings be overkill?
I love the selection of doors you’ve shared and encourage anyone to purchase Oak where possible for their homes as it is very long-lasting and hard-wearing. It should be thought of as more of an investment than a one-off purchase.
Oak is certainly the way forward if you can afford it. I am currently looking to replace my front door and I think it’s going to be oak. The door in the first picture is they style I am looking for.
