Beautiful floral-inspired paintings by Sue Fenlon
Sue Fenlon‘s beautiful floral-inspired paintings remind me of the coast and countryside where I grew up in Devon.
I fell in love at first sight with the painting above as it contains two things which are very close to my heart…the sea and flowers. The dreamy red poppies are just so pretty!
Sue specialises in capturing coastal scenes, landscapes and hedgerows, and is inspired by the way nature evolves through seasonal changes in light, texture and colour.
In the past, she has painted in America where she developed her skills in different mediums, looking at aspects of light, form and colour, on the Texan landscape.
She now works from her studio in the countryside of Northumberland, overlooking the sea and the fields.
Below is a selection of her work…
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing Sue’s evocative paintings today.
She currently exhibits at The Old School Gallery in Alnmouth and The Bakehouse Gallery in Alnwick. And if you’re going to the Country Living Fair in London this March, you’ll be able to visit her stand.
