Beautiful floral-inspired cushions by Bluebellgray for John Lewis
So, I was thrilled to hear that Fiona Douglas who runs the company has recently been invited to take part in John Lewis’s Design Collective, which is a showcase of work by both established and emerging design talent.
Fiona has worked with John Lewis to create a range of exclusive cushions, designed with their customers in mind.
Each floral design is hand-painted in her studio using watercolour brush strokes, before being transformed into gorgeous linen which is used to make the cushion covers. Every cushion is hand-made and totally unique due to its individual numbering and signature.
The design above is called Liz, with the two designs below being named Butterfly, in saffron and teal.
I adore the new delphinium design below in vibrant cobalt blues…
And lastly, the mode design…
Paula Nickolds, Home Buying Director at John Lewis, said: “Collaborating with established and emerging designers has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’re thrilled with our new Design Collective, which marries outstanding design with the quality, value and service our customers expect at John Lewis.”
Look out for the Fiona’s cushions in store. They’ll be identified with the Design Collective mark and labelled with her signature. And they’re also available online.
P.S. If you’d like to read an interview I did with Fiona last year, you can find it here on my blog.
