Add style with Plantation Shutters.

Originally Plantation shutters were used for protection against the elements or to control the light in a room. Today they offer a really attractive way to improve the look of your home so why not add a touch of elegance and style by decorating with Plantation Shutters? Use them on windows or doors to create either a contemporary or period look.

Follow these simple tips to help you choose:

  • Style & Colour

Made of wood can be painted or stained to custom match your interior. White shutters give a nice clean look to bathroom or kitchen windows and a wood stain colour looks great in an office or TV room.

  • Material

Plantation shutters are either made out of wood or PVC material. The advantage to using wood shutters is that you can paint or stain them any colour. Plantation Shutters that are made out of a PVC resin only come in several colours. The PVC Plantation Shutters are harder than wood and they resist scratches better and have less damage (though I still prefer the wooden ones).

  • Measure

Shutters are custom made to fit your windows. Work with a professional for choosing, measuring and installing your blinds.

  • Maintain

They are easy to clean with a damp cloth and easy to remove plus your Plantation Shutters should last for many years.

If you are looking for a fabric alternative then this is the right choice for you, not too much maintenance and will be in fashion for many years to come.
